Shepherd Center’s Magazine Launches New Web Site
ATLANTA (Dec. 11, 2009) – Shepherd Center’s quarterly magazine, Spinal Column, has launched the first phase of a new Web site that offers the publication’s content online.
Previously only available online as a PDF download, Spinal Column began a new era this fall with the launch of www.spinalcolumn.org. The current site represents the first phase of the launch, offering the magazine’s cover story, selected features, a Patient Profile feature and a Medical Staff Profile. It also includes an extensive photo gallery for each article, links to PDF downloads of the print version of the magazine, and a form for sharing content with friends, as well as one for subscribing to an email list to receive notification when new content is added to the site.
A second phase of the magazine’s Web site is expected to launch in spring 2010 and will include even more of the publication’s content, including articles on fundraising activities, donors and volunteers.
PDF downloads of the current issue of Spinal Column, as well as previous issues, are also available at www.shepherd.org/publications. In addition, this page includes a link to sign up for the email notification list.
