Shepherd Center Kicks Off Holiday Gift-Giving Fundraiser
Shepherd Center Auxiliary today kicks off its annual fundraising event, Pecans on Peachtree®. For nearly three decades, Pecans on Peachtree® has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help fund patient-related programs at Shepherd Center through annual holiday sales of pecans, most grown in the state of Georgia.
“We have sent pecans as corporate gifts for many years, and knowing that we are making a difference makes the gift even better. We feel good helping to raise funds for patient programs at Shepherd Center,” says Pecans on Peachtree® supporter Bob Mathis, CEO of Peachtree Planning Corporation of Atlanta.
Pecans on Peachtree® offers an assortment of pecans and candies designed especially for holiday gift giving, priced from $16 and up. The delicious nuts and chocolate-covered pecans are great for corporate gifts, teacher gifts, a neighborhood gift exchange, as well as those last minute gift needs.
“Pecans on Peachtree® are the most appreciated teacher and neighbor gifts we’ve ever given. They’re always delicious and a gift that gives year-round,” says former Shepherd Center patient Caroline Hazel and her mom Cheryl Hazel of Fredericksburg, Va.
Pecans for Peachtree are on sale from Nov. 7 – Dec. 23, 2011, and can be picked up in person or shipped.
