A Bridge to What is Possible

Inspiring Innovation

Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation

Pursuing Possible, the most ambitious campaign in the history of Shepherd Center, will create so many more opportunities to do what Shepherd does best: help patients begin again. Of the many initiatives and growth opportunities the campaign will enable, few are as significant as the development of the Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation.

This state-of-the-art facility will allow Shepherd to increase patient access and improve the patient and family experience in several ways, including growing Shepherd’s day programs and outpatient services, as well as creating space for a new 30,000-square-foot Innovation Institute. This adds to enhanced, fully integrated innovation across Shepherd’s entire rehabilitation continuum.

Growing the Heart of Shepherd

Enhancements to the Main Campus

Since its founding in 1975, Shepherd Center has set the standard for what is possible in transformation after injury or illness and the field of neurorehabilitation. The main campus at 2020 Peachtree Road has been at the heart of this work for the past 47 years.

But to satisfy unmet patient needs, Shepherd Center is poised to make key enhancements to the main campus that improve patient access. The Pursuing Possible campaign will allow Shepherd to expand inpatient capacity and modernize patient rooms, increase capacity for day programs and outpatient services, and centralize and expand the Andrew C. Carlos Multiple Sclerosis Institute.

Family Matters

The Arthur M. Blank Family Residences at 1860 Peachtree Road

It is not only psychologically crucial for families to be together during rehabilitation but also therapeutically imperative for them to be on-site as part of the care team. Shepherd Center’s industry-leading patient outcomes reflect the benefits of involving families in care.

Through the Pursuing Possible campaign, Shepherd will further improve the patient and family experience by building a new family housing tower just down the street from Shepherd's main campus.
