Shepherd Center named a Top 100 Hospital of Choice

Shepherd Center was named a Top 100 Hospital of Choice for 2012 by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers, AAHCP. It joins only two other hospitals in the state of Georgia. A full list of the AAHCP’s 2012 top 100 Hospitals of Choice can be viewed here.

AAHCP created the Hospital of Choice Awards in 2002 to help consumers find a top quality hospital with excellent customer service skills. Choice Hospitals are judged based on their competence, public communication, reputation, good citizenship, and customer service skills exhibited by staff members. Each year the Hospital of Choice Awards Selection Committee reviews public documents as well discuss work-life experiences to determine which indicators are most relevant for customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction in a hospital setting.

According to the AAHCP website, the goal of the top 100 Hospital of Choice Awards "is to ensure patients and family members that their hospital experience will be as comfortable as possible in a safe, effective, and friendly environment."
